Jessica Alba said, “It’s the most fun award show to be at. You get a nice mix of movie people and music people, so it was an honor to be invited.”  For Jessica Alba 2006 seems to be the best year of her career. Besides the three-time nominee at the MTV Movie Awards the sexy actress also received the invitation to be the host of the event. Alba’s MTV Movie Award nominations include: best hero and best on-screen team for “Fantastic Four,” and sexiest performance for “Sin City.”

“I was thrilled,” Jessica Alba says of being asked to host. ”It’s the most fun award show to be at. It’s crazy, and it’s all fan-based, so there’s always a lot of energy. You get a nice mix of movie people and music people, so it was an honor to be invited. “I was like, ‘Really? The kids want to see me?’ As odd as it may seem, I don’t make movies for myself. I make them because I like to entertain people, and doing this validates that.”

When she has been asked about how she feels of being among scheduled presenters, next to Jamie Foxx, Kate Hudson, Matt Dillon, Kate Beckinsale, Ludacris, Justin Timberlake and Owen Wilson, Jessica Alba said: ” It’s really something I’m choosing to do, so it doesn’t feel like a job. I get to do skits with different comedians, which is a blast. It’s like the ‘MTV Movie Awards Movie,’ so it’s a different take than the show has had in the past.”

Jessica Alba rose to greater prominence in Hollywood in 1999 after appearing as a member of a snobby high school clique in the Drew Barrymore romantic comedy “Never Been Kissed,” and as the female lead in the 1999 comedy-horror film “Idle Hands,” opposite Devon Sawa.  But her big break came when writer/director James Cameron picked Alba from a pool of 1,200 candidates for the role of the genetically-engineered super-soldier, Max Guevera on the Fox sci-fi TV series “Dark Angel,” for which she won the award nomination of a Golden Globe for “Lead Actress in a Drama Series“
