Kylie Minogue Confronts Olivier Martinez Over Model

Kylie Minogue, recently voted the most inspirational celebrity of 2006 by readers of Sugar magazine, cancelled a family celebration in Australia to jet to France for a heart-to-heart with her boyfriend, 40-year-old actor Olivier Martinez, after he was photographed with 24-year-old Israeli model Sarai Givati. It has been widely reported that Martinez has been showing Miss Givati around Paris. She admitted that they had spent ‘three wonderful days and nights together’. Kylie had intended to spend Christmas at home in Melbourne but left for Paris just 12 hours after completing the final concert of her Australian tour. Their very public outing was Kylie and Martinez’s first since news of his liaison broke.”She’s primarily here to find out exactly what’s been going on between Olivier and Sarai,” a close friend of Kylie’s was quoted by the Daily Mail, as saying. “It has been a very tough time for her and none of this gets any easier. There is a great deal of tension between her and Olivier. She was exhausted after the trip and has spent most of the time since recuperating in his flat,” 
she added.
Martinez has officially been finishing off a new film but showed no intention of traveling all the way to Australia for Christmas. Kylie’s friends say she is privately questioning her relationship with him for the first time since cancer struck in May 2005. Yet she wore a jacket emblazoned with his picture in her final show before flying to Paris.
Minogue’s early exit follows weekend claims Olivier blatantly refused to discuss his alleged fling with 24-year-old model Sarai Givati, reportedly telling his girlfriend: “Don’t insult me by even asking about it.”
“She wanted to know that Olivier was still committed to their relationship,” a friend of Kylie’s told the Sunday Mirror. “They have been through a lot in the last couple of years and share enormous love for each other. Now that Kylie has looked him in the eye, she is happy to give him another chance.”
Regarding Sugar’s choice of Kylie as most inspirational, Annabel Brog, Sugar editor, explained, “Kylie couldn’t be any more inspirational. She’s friendly, gorgeous, talented - and this year she’s shown just how strong she is too.”
With a boyfriend like Martinez, she may need that strength.
