Madonna a bad mother?

MadonnaWorking and being a mother are tough jobs to combine. Madonna  also finds it difficult to balance her singing/ acting/writing career with being a mother. “I’m always going:  “Oh God, I’m a crap mother.” I want to get home and put my kids to bed,” she said in an interview with E! Entertainment.
But the well-muscled Mrs. Ritchie admits that after extended amounts of domestic bliss with Rocco, 5, and Lourdes, 9, she longs to suit up in a leotard and head back to work: “And then sometimes, if I’m spending a lot of time with my children, I think, “Oh God, I just want to be an artist.”

And it’s only going to get harder as she embarks on her forthcoming “Confessions” tour, which launches May 21 in California. Still, the Big M, who has repeatedly denied rumors of a rough patch in her five-year marriage to Guy Ritchie, isn’t looking to slow down. “I guess I always feel like there is so much more to do, so much to learn, so much to know,” she explains.

It seems that not only Madonna has a problem balancing her two lives; her nine-year-old daughter Lourdes finds it difficult to have such a famous mother. Madonna admits that her daughter Lourdes struggles to accept her fame: “Sometimes she doesn’t want me to come to certain things because she knows everyone is going to pay attention to me and treat her differently. I took her to school on the first day last year, and all these kids were buzzing round. She came home that day and she was really irritated and kind of bummed out, like, people were playing this contest - what would it be like to be Madonna’s daughter?”

It may not be as glamorous as they think. As the singer explained to Harpers & Queen last year, she runs a strict household, with no TV and no dairy allowed. And Lourdesbetter not leave her enviable couture-crammed wardrobe lying on the floor, because chances are it will get taken away. No wonder she’s mature for her age. “She’s 9 going on 19,” says Madonna of herpint-sized doppelganger, whose genetic coding apparently includes a predisposition for feathered hair and glitter balls. Says her proud mom, “She’s a bit of disco queen herself.”
