Scarlett Johansson, Sexiest Woman AliveScarlett Johansson has been handed another major honor after the Esquire magazine crowned her “Sexiest Woman Alive.” The 21-year-old hourglass figure and plum movie roles have brought her many fans, but Scarlett wants more attention focused on her and not just her sex appeal. “What about my brain? What about my heart? What about my kidneys and my gallbladder?” she jokes, addressing all the hoopla about her curves in an interview in the magazine. Scarlett more confident about her hourglass figure. “I’m curvy - I’m never going to be 5’11′ and 120 pounds. But I feel lucky to have what I’ve got.”

The actress whose screen credits include “The Black Dahlia,” “Lost in Translation” and “Match Point,” poses in come-hither garb on the cover and inside pages of the magazine’s November issue, on newsstands Oct. 18. The magazine says, Scarlett wears a bra and a white Calvin Klein mini-dress on the cover; In a series of photos inside (showing her as an “enigmatic trailer-park temptress,”), she wears cleavage-baring black lingerie paired with an open white robe, among other get-ups.

Reporter announced that Scarlett Johansson set to play Mary Queen of Scots. Her mother and manager, Melanie Johansson, will be one of the film’s producers, which has a tentative budget of around $25-30 million. No director has been hired yet. Shooting will probably begin sometime next summer. Ms Johansson, whose notable appearances include role in Ghost World has been spending much of her time criss-crossing the Atlantic in recent years. She shot Match Point with Woody Allen in London, and then followed it up with the recently released Scoop.Scarlett Johansson, Sexiest Woman Alive

Like many previous retellings, the new version of the Mary, Queen of Scots story would focus on the stormy relationship between the young Mary and her cousin, Elizabeth I, who ended up ordering her execution. There is no word on who might play Elizabeth.

Tudor England has intrigued Hollywood for many decades, going all the way back to The Execution of Mary Stuart, a short made in 1895. Katharine Hepburn took the role in John Ford’s Mary of Scotland (1936), opposite the now-forgotten Florence Eldridge.

Vanessa Redgrave played Mary to Glenda Jackson’s Elizabeth in the 1971 movie. That year, Jackson played the Virgin Queen in the television series Elizabeth R.
Cate Blanchett won plaudits for the role in the 1998 film Elizabeth, and has just filmed a sequel called The Golden Age, due out next year.

takes over the crown from Jessica Biel, who won the honour in 2005. Hollywood star Angelina Jolie got the nod in 2004. “We have taken in the totality, the gestalt, and we have concluded that Scarlett Johansson “lips, butt, kidneys and all  “is the Sexiest Woman Alive,” says A.J Jacobs of Esquire.

Now I love Scarlett Johanssen, and I think she is pretty hot, but being named sexiest woman alive by Esquire is going a little overboard. She’s a more normal average looking girl, and that is what I love about her.
