Finally the sexy girl, Antonella Barba voted off the American Idol show on Thursday night, together with Jared Cotter, Sabrina Sloan, and Jason “Sundance” Head. After hearing the viewers’ decision, Barba became emotional as host Ryan Seacrest asked her what memories she would take with her.”So many memories, too many, I can’t even think about it now,” Barba said. “So many memories, but great ones.”

After her performance on Wednesday, Simon Cowell said, “I feel for you because you’ve taken a lot of stick in the media. I think you’ve handled yourself well throughout and I don’t think anyone should be put in that situation.”

The 20-year-old New Jersey has gained a huge following based more on pictures that surfaced on the internet than on her voice. By failing to make the final 12 Barba will be left off the American Idol cd that is produced each season. That may be a good thing for her as she has had several offers from varying adult web sites to become a spokesperson. Among the offers was a $250,000 gig as a Girls Gone Wild host.

After it was revealed that she would not be in the American Idol top 12, Barba addressed the issue at hand saying “These were photos of my personal life that got exploited without my consent.”

A friend revealed that some of those racy, wacky pictures of her that have been surfacing were taken from a calendar she’d made for a boyfriend.

Barba went on to say “I keep getting told that no publicity is bad publicity, but, you know, I’m not known for this thing that I want to be known for, which is singing.” That publicity has led to reported offers from Girls Gone Wild and Playboy but Barba has insisted she would not be involved with anything of that nature. Antonella insisted, “I don’t want to be known for that. I’d rather promote myself in a classy way.”

Recently, after Mr. Playboy aka Hugh Hefner saw Antonella Barba’s nude pictures, he remarked, “She really looks sexy here.” Asked if he would consider making Antonella an offer to pose for Playboy should she be voted off ‘Idol’ early, Hef answered, “Very real possibility. Yes, absolutely.”

Here’s what Simon had to say about Antonella’s raunchy photos at a Playboy Mansion party:
“I think it’s disgraceful that so-called friends would sell these pictures. It’s private property. I really, really have a problem with that – big problem. If you want to do as well as someone like Jennifer Hudson you’ve got to be great, and we’re not seeing enough great, but they’re getting better. We’re going to weed out the bad ones.”

Right now, she is waiting for the offers to come pouring in. She said, “I want to strike while the iron’s hot. So I don’t know (if I’m) going back to school yet.”  She denied being approached about posing for Playboy magazine and said she would not do it if asked. Pressed on whether she absolutely would rule out a Playboy shoot, Barba replied: “Well, you know what? Right now, I want to look at all the offers that I get and sort out what’s best for me.”
While her dream is to record an R&B pop album, she’s also tempted by acting and modelling.
