Britney Spears is reportedly not doing very well in rehab, according to a friend who claims that the pop princess wrote the number 666 on her bald head and began running around the clinic yelling “I am the AntiChrist!” Afterward she tied a sheet around her neck and tried to hang herself from the light fixture.

This is not her first suicide threat – Friends claim the ‘Toxic’ singer has attempted to commit suicide before.

A source said: “Britney held up two bottles of Tylenol and shouted ‘I’m doing this!’ Britney was terrified Kevin would get full custody of the children. She said she would kill herself if she lost her boys.”

Us Weekly claims her cousin Alli has all but moved into the clinic to help keep an eye on her but the family still don’t think it’ll be enough to keep Britney on track. A source told the magazine: “They hope that Britney will stay at Promises for a month, but they’re nervous she might not last that long.”

The 25-year-old is said to have requested one night away from the clinic to be with Kevin.

Just weeks ago, Britney and Kevin were embroiled in a bitter custody battle for their sons, 17-month-old Sean Preston and five-month-old Jayden James. Britney quit rehab and was seen attacking a photographer and a car with an umbrella outside Kevin’s home, after he refused to see her.

Her friends say she not only wants him back, but wants to have another child with him.

“Britney has realized what a rock Kevin has been to her, and how out of control she has acted recently. She has been talking to Kevin every night for hours on the phone, telling him she still loves him. She just wants to be with him again, and thinks having another baby will seal their marriage,” the source said. “Britney seems much happier and has calmed down since the incident. She is a completely different Britney from the beginning of the week.”

Kevin seems increasingly in tune with this feeling, as he shaved his head in support of his estranged wife. The rapper wannabe’s buddies insist that K-Fed is still in love with Britney and that’s why he sticks with her through these hard times.

“He said he still loves her,” The Sun quoted a pal as saying.

Meanwhile, Britney’s mother Lynne has banned former lover Justin Timberlake from visiting the star in rehab.

A source told Britain’s Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Justin was distressed to learn about the state Britney was in. Lynne was touched by the gesture but begged him not to go. He promised to hook up with her at a later date.”

Actress Brooke Shields has also offered help to Britney Spears, after reports claiming the troubled singer is suffering from postpartum depression.

Reports last week claimed Spears had been reading Shields’ 2005 book “Down Came The Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression” during her current stay at the Promise rehab center in Malibu, California.

Shields wrote the book after successfully conquering postpartum depression with the help of counseling and the anti-depressant Paxil following the birth of her first child Rowan in 2003.

Shields tells the TV show Access Hollywood, “I hope she’s fine. I believe she’s going to be fine, and she just needs the support and her kids. She’s their only mom, and she’ll earn that back in her own mind.

“(If she is suffering from depression) then it really needs to be reckoned with, and it’s very common, and she’ll get through it.

“If (Britney) is reading my book. I hope it’s helping her. If it’s not, and she wants to talk to someone, I’m available. She is followed every moment of her life, and she’s documented every minute of her life.”
