Beyonce Knowles, the next Wonder Woman?

There are pros and cons regarding Beyonce Knowles’ desire to be the next Amazon Superhero, Wonder Woman - a rumor that has spread on the internet. “I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman? It would be great. And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It’s time for that, right?” she told the Los Angeles Times.
The “Dreamgirls” star also said that she has met with representatives of Warner Bros. and DC Comics to express her interest in a major role in one of the many comic-book adaptations now in the pipeline following the massive success of the “Spider-Man,” “X-Men” and “The Dark Knight,” and “Iron Man” franchises. It’s not clear if anyone will be able to deliver a Wonder Woman project anytime soon.

interest in the role was strengthened earlier this year when she went to New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and saw on display Lynda Carter’s iconic costume. “I would definitely have to keep it right for that costume,” she says. “But I love Wonder Woman and it’d be a dream come true to be that character. It sure would be handy to have that lasso.”
Wonder Woman is a fictional character, a DC Comics superheroine created by William Moulton Marston. First appearing in All Star Comics #8 (December 1941), she is one of three characters to have been continuously published by DC Comics since the company’s 1944 inception (except for a brief hiatus in 1984).
Wonder Woman is a member of a fictional, all-female tribe of Amazons who is sent to “man’s world” as an ambassador. Among the Amazons she is known as Princess Diana (being the daughter of Amazon queen Hippolyta); in “man’s world” she takes the secret identity of “Diana Prince.” Her powers include super strength, hand-to-hand combat ability, and sometimes flight. She also makes use of her Lasso of Truth, a pair of bullet-deflecting bracelets, and an invisible plane. (wiki).

Rae: I like Beyonce’s music too, but I just don’t think she would not be a great wonder women. And I’m a be blunt, I think her acting is atrocious, at times. I am sorry, not to be an ass, but I think it would be better that whoever plays Wonder Women resembles her. And besides, I kind of think at times Beyonce want to resemble a white women, so badly too, and this coming from a black female…

Then did not get a black male to play Superman,Batman or any other movie so why do it for Wonder Women. In response to the above post, Kim please learn to type and actually spell out words. Believe it or not, its not hard. Also, Warner Brothers haven’t chosen Beyonce to play Wonder Woman yet. Actually an Austrailian supermodel has been slated to play the role for quite some time now. The major difference, Gale looks like Wonder Woman, something that is really important if comic book fans (the people being pandered to by these movies) are actually going to turn out.

I think she would not be such a great choice to play Wonder Woman. She’s short for one. She’s not real. Wonder Woman had REAL hair, not a weave! Wonder Woman was very tall and and real hair and real curves. I think that Jessica Biel would be a perfect fit. She is very tall, has REAL hair and a real womans figure. She is the right choice. Go Jessica!
