Miss Bimbo, Virtual Fashion Game for Girls

A 23-year-old web designer, Nicolas Jacquart, from Tooting, South London, has created a new computer game for young girls. The provocatively named “Miss Bimbo” website launched in the UK last month and is described as a “virtual fashion game for girls.” The game has nearly 200,000 British players, most of whom are girls aged between nine and 16. Players compete to create “the coolest, richest and most famous bimbo in the whole world”.
When a girl signs up, they are given a naked virtual character to look after. The characters enter beauty contests to earn money so that they can buy clothes and go clubbing. They are given missions including organising breast implants and finding their bimbo a billionaire boyfriend. They also have to check her hunger, thirst and happiness ratings, keeping her weight down with diet pills.

Breast implants sell at 11,500 bimbo dollars and net the buyer 2,000 bimbo attitudes, making her more popular on the site. Although it is free to play, when the contestants run out of virtual dollars they have to send cell phone text messages costing $3 each or use PayPal to top up their accounts.
The game’s creator, Nicolas Jacquart, insisted it was not a bad influence on children. He said, “They learn to take care of their bimbos. If they eat too much chocolate in the game, it is bad for their bimbos’ bodies and their happiness levels compared to if they eat fruit and vegetables, which reinforces positive healthy eating messages.”
