“Victoria’s looking better than ever, but I hope she puts on even just a little bit of weight for it. Italian underwear is for more voluptuous women, and there’s nothing more tragic looking than a woman in underwear with her ribs and spine poking out. You can do it Posh”. That was some of readers comment regarding the newest Armani underwear model, Victoria Beckham.

The former “Posh Spice” of the Spice Girls has just signed the three-year deal with Armani fashion house - following in the footsteps of husband David Beckham, who also appeared in the fashion house’s underwear campaign. Fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott are responsible for shooting the ads.

The company said last week that Victoria will debut in the spring-summer 2009 advertising campaign of Emporio Armani women’s underwear. The new model for Giorgio Armani’s Emporio Armani women’s underwear collection said, “To be given this opportunity to work with Armani is thrilling.  I have so much respect for him.”

The Italian fashion boss Giorgio Armani said, “Victoria is a style icon, a dynamic lady whose influence and recognition
will add great excitement to the continued international growth of our Emporio Armani women’s underwear business.”

While the Italian fashion boss Giorgio Armani said that Victoria is a style icon, there are pro and contra regarding the newest Armani underwear model (taken from dailymail):

1. Victoria Beckham has some sex appeal, although she is somehow scrawney, however, with a bit of air brushing this should enhance her sex appeal and take care of her looks to perfection. Well done Simon Fuller for getting this deal going, he knows very well where to press his buttons and how to keep her image alive! He is an amazing manager indeed.

2. Sexy is something that comes from within. Victoria is pretty and attractive but about as sexy as a peice of cardboard.

3. For gods sake will somebody feed her before she takes her kit off, otherwise she will look like a bag of bones. No doubt the bras will shove everything under your chin and if any of them make a womans boobs look like hers, Id rather wear a vest! Mel B has the figure for undies, victoria most definately has not.

4. Armani have got it wrong - have they asked the public if she is a style icon - I think not - stick thin with no curves - They will be saving the money on the material - Most women hate her - her following is very young mislead girls or women with no thought of what they are doing to their bodies - no women over a size 10 will buy the underware !!!!
