Jessica Alba said, “It’s the most fun award show to be at. You get a nice mix of movie people and music people, so it was an honor to be invited.”  For Jessica Alba 2006 seems to be the best year of her career. Besides the three-time nominee at the MTV Movie Awards the sexy actress also received the invitation to be the host of the event. Alba’s MTV Movie Award nominations include: best hero and best on-screen team for “Fantastic Four,” and sexiest performance for “Sin City.”

Jessica Alba’s dispute with Playboy is over. The 24-year-actress has dropped her demand that the magazine pull its March issue after receiving a letter of apology from founder Hugh Hefner. Alba was upset because she had not agreed to be on the cover and she worried it may have led readers to believe she appears nude or partially nude in the magazine.

“I appreciate Mr. Hefner’s acknowledgment of the distress caused by Playboy’s actions, and I’m happy to put this unfortunate event behind me,” Alba said in a statement Tuesday. “This was never about money, it was about setting the record straight about something that was done without my knowledge or consent.”

Playboy also made donations to two charities Alba supports. Her spokesman, Brad Cafarelli, declined to disclose the amount donated to Keep A Child Alive and Until There’s A Cure. more…

The sexy Jessica Alba, has appeared on the Playboy’s cover magazine but she was not happy with it. The cover shows the 24-year-old actress in a bikini, next to the headline “25 Sexiest Celebrities.” Jessica is demanding that Playboy pull its March issue, saying she didn’t agree to be on the cover and that the image may mislead readers into thinking she appears nude or partially nude in the magazine. Alba also is asking for “monetary settlement” for damages to her reputation and career. She explains, “They asked me to do it and I said no, and then they offered to pay and I said no and then they went behind my back and I just don’t think it’s right. It’s not the mark I want to make in this business.”

Alba’s lawyers have written to Playboy, owned by legendary media mogul Hugh Hefner, claiming the cover suggests the olive-skinned beauty appears nude or semi-nude inside. In the letter - obtained by the Smoking Gun website - Jessica’s attorney, Brian Wolf, states she refused to pose and denied Playboy permission to use any images of her. more…
