The sexy singer and one of the “Dreamgirls” star, Beyonce Knowles, appear on the cover of the famous Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She posed on a Florida beach in a yellow-and-pink bikini by House of Dereon, the fashion label she started with her mother, Tina Knowles. There’s also a photo spread inside. “The Dreamgirl As You’ve Never Seen Her,” a cover headline teases.

“It’s fascinating how many careers it’s made, or how many have been made of it,” says Beyoncé of the swimsuit issue. “They’re always so beautiful.” Beside the only non-model/non-athlete to ever appear on the cover, Beyonce is the second African-American woman who appear on issue’s cover in the 43 years since it was created, the first in a decade since Tyra Banks donned the second of her back-to-back swimsuit covers in 1997.

The 2007 swimsuit edition continues with a music them inside, featuring scantily-clad models posing with Kanye West, Aerosmith, Kenny Chesney, Gnarls Barkley and Panic! At the Disco for the camera of lensman Steve Erle. more…

Erica Chevillar, aka Erica Lee, is a 25 year old Florida high school teacher who recently made some headlines due to some bikini pictures turning up online. The West Boca Raton High School teacher is one of nearly eighty models featured on the Web site of the USA National Bikini team, a Boca Raton-based company. The site lists calendars for sale featuring scantily clad models dressed in bathing suits, provocative outfits or lingerie. Chevillar, using the name Erica Lee, appears in outfits ranging from cleavage-baring jackets to skimpy bikinis in about two-dozen photos.

Erica Chevillar has no regrets about her decision to pose for an on-line bikini site. She makes $31,000 a year. She’s living in Boca Raton, where the cost of living has been wiping her out. She turned to modelling bikinis to make a little extra cash. “If you ask half the teachers they have a second job. Who’s to say what job they take?” she says. more…
